Was better than most Candlewoods I've stayed at. Had to extend my stay 1 night and was charged what I felt was an unreasonable amount.

We stay at this hotel a lot as we have family in town and always have a very good experience.
However, on our stay Aug 8th, there was a bad storm. We were out to dinner and didn’t get back to the hotel until about 9:00pm. The lobby looked kind of dark but there were a few lights on. The person at the front desk didn’t say anything to us and we went on up to our room. It became evident quickly that the power was out with the limited lighting in the hallway and elevator not working.
We get to our room after a very long drive and day and of course, there’s no lights or air conditioning - the high was in the mud 90’s that day. We deal with the issues and go to bed. At approximately 11:00, the fire alarm went off in our room - it was so loud and piercing, you had to hold your hands over your ears. We get dressed and go downstairs and outside to find a lot of other hotel guests gathered. After 10 minutes or so, the fire department arrived, checked out the building and found nothing. The alarm went off due to the power outage. We were then allowed back in.
While none of the issues were the direct result of the hotel, all of it together made for a difficult hot night of trying to sleep.

Very clean and spacious.would recommend to anyone who is going on a weekend getaway. Very Close to galaxy con in Raleigh. About 18 minutes away. Pretty much a straight shot there. A few Starbucks are in the area as well.

This was my first time staying at the Candlewood Suite in Raleigh and I was thoroughly pleased with the area of the Hotel, its cleanliness, and the pleasant customer service. I arrived late evening and was treated with excellence and recognized as an IHG member.
